November 07, 2015  –  Herman Jimenez Band From Chicago, IL – This 7 member band plays a mix of Rock and Funk in both Spanish and English. Blending together musical influences such as salsa, rock, hip-hop, r&b, and reggae along with the leaderís driving trombone and trumpet, The Herman Jimenez Band is the result of a years long desire to use the musical gifts bestowed upon this group to serve God and minister to people in Jesus name. Herman Jimenez, originally from New York City heads up this band that bears his name. After having spent several years growing up and honing his craft within the rich and diverse New York City music scene, Herman began touring full time with the very popular Christian band SALVADOR and world renown and award winning Christian singer JACI VELASQUEZ, as well as working behind the scenes on his writing and producing skills. In August 2009, Herman got married and moved to the Chicagoland area with his wife, who is from Chicago. After spending the next few years dedicated to his marriage and family, the Lord finally gave him the green light to go forth with this new ministry. Launched in May 2013. Immediately through family ties, J.T. Hernandez (who is his wifeís cousin) was asked to be the drummer for this new ministry. And after responding to an ad Herman posted on Craigslist, bass player Tony Castillo (not only a great man of God but one of Chicagoís more in demand bassists) was brought on and he brought with him percussionist Mike Vasquez. Keyboardist Sam Cuellar, vocalist Julie Bruinius, and guitarist Jonn Blazey complete this septet known as the Herman Jimenez Band. Their self titled debut CD, due out April 10, 2015 will be the bandís introduction to the music world. Herman for this production brings together all the sounds and styles he was surrounded with growing up in NYC, in English and Spanish, and tops it off with a message of love and hope from the one true God. The bandís mission is simple. Their desire to change peopleís lives. To let someone know that no matter how hard things get, or how bad youíve screwed up in life, that Jesus came into this world to die on the cross for our sins. That our loving Father God is patiently waiting for us to turn to him and -through salvation in his Son Jesus Christ- allow him to heal the hurt and pain and put us on that straight and narrow path to heaven with him. Tell your friends NOT to miss this opportunity.
