July 28, 2006  –  The Chris Shepherd Band From St. Louis, MO – The Chris Shepherd band is a Blues Band made up of the finest musicians around, including Chris, Dave, Jon and Matt. They are back by popular Demand, here to officially open our ROCK ON THE ROCK weekend. They play mostly original music with some of the lyrics written by Chris' wife Terri.

The Chris Shepherd band is on a mission to "use the blues to spread the news." Traveling throughout the Midwest the band uses music to touch lives with a positive message of faith, hope and love. The guys are from the St. Louis, MO area and include Chris Shepherd on guitar and vocals, Jon Hedgecorth on bass and vocals and Dave Kelewae on drums and percussion. Their newest member is Matthew Baute. While the band is well known for their blues music there is a wide variety of beautiful acoustic songs and straight ahead rock-n-roll. At the heart of it all is the undeniable messago of Christ. The band's main goal is to invite all people both churched and unchurched into a closer relationship with out Lord Jesus. All the guys have committed their time, talents and resources to minister in the inner city of North St. Louis. It's all about great music with a great message that crosses racial, generational and denominational boundaries.
