Glenn Kaiser (born January 21, 1953) is a Chicago-based Christian blues musician, singer-songwriter and pastor. Glenn first played for The Overflowing Cup Christian Coffeehouse in 1974, performed the wedding for Dave and Pat Fogderud and has been a friend of the ministry for many years. He was the leader of Resurrection Band, the REZ Band and is currently the leader of The Glenn Kaiser Band. In 1972 JPUSA began when a ragtag group of Christians wanted to change the world for Jesus. Now more than forty years later, they are still at it. What started as simply inviting folks in for a meal became a feeding program. What began as a phone call from a mother looking for housing eventually became a shelter, and now a complex of ministries dedicated to housing and resource services. Working together, ordinary people have been able to accomplish extraordinary things. In the 21st century community makes more sense than ever. By pooling resources, we use less resources. Those at JPUSA have heard a call from God to reach Chicago’s inner city and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Perhaps JPUSA’s most important benefit is helping each member grow and mature in the Christian faith through an intensive environment of Christian fellowship, pastoral care, biblical teaching, and practical work either through their tent-making businesses or through their various outreaches to the “least of these.” “ ‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. . .
